Energizing smoothie

Equipment

  • A blender such as Magic- or Nutri-Bullet makes a perfect serving size.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup frozen organic berries Organic is important
  • 1/2 banana
  • handful of spinach, chard or kale leaves Remove the stalks, if necessary
  • 2 scoops collagen powder ( a protein base) I prefer Vital Proteins brand
  • 1 tsp organic cocoa powder
  • 1 Tblsp almond butter
  • 1 Tblsp coconut oil or ghee (clarified butter) These healthy fats are critical ingredients as they sustain your energy and keep you full
  • 1 tsp mixed seeds Flax, chia and hemp seeds
  • filtered or coconut water, coconut or almond milk Fill to required volume

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients and blend well. Enjoy and remain sustained for hours!

Notes

This smoothie can be a game changer to your day. It balances blood sugar, which prevents mid morning hypoglycemic crashes, which cause sugar cravings. It also keeps you full through to lunch time.
